Lodging in the Historic Hotel

This building is currently undergoing remodeling through September 2010, and its rooms will not be available for lodging during this time.

The historic inn building features four rooms on the second floor for lodging. Each room contains a double bed and private bath and is individually decorated with antiques. Take a step back in time by choosing one of these historic rooms for your overnight stay with us.

The Dorsey Room

The Casselman Inn was built in 1824 by Solomon Sterner to serve travelers on the National Road. Each room in the original two-story Federal brick house contained a fireplace and were the only source of heat and cooking. All bricks were handmade on the land nearby and much of the woodwork is hand-hewn timbers and hand-planed boards. One of the most beautiful features is the cherry hand rail ascending to the third floor. Read more about the history of the hotel and restaurant on our History page.
